I had a theft occur at the jobsite today. I was about to take a shot with my BS when this chocolate lab shows up. The dog is friendly, so I went back to what I was doing. I turn to look for my throw line bag, it's gone, and so is the dog. It's bad enough trying to catch a 2 legged thief, but a 4 legged thief is even worse.

Apparently the dog belongs to a neighbor of the customer, and the neighbor was nice enough to bring the bag back.

I got a nice laugh out of that today.

well now that's not an everyday occurrence. by the way treeman, i'll be in Yorktown heights tomorrow taking down 3 trees for my aunt. Do you live anywhere around that area??

Yeah, I live in Y-town. I have to drop a tree for a friend in Somers tomorow morning, but I should be available after that if you need a hand, or want to get a bite or whatever.

The people who he is working for are old friends, and neighbors of mine as luck would have it.

Haha! I used to work regularly at an old plantation home. They had three big dogs that would piss on any gear that was placed on the ground. You never laid anything on the ground around there.

Other than that, they were cool dawgs.

when i worked in sc the company manager would show up to the job with his dog. cool dog, but would run off around these old plantations. we woud have to go hunt the dog down to make sure he wasnt a hearty meal for a local aligator
