A couple sticks of dynamite would have worked nicely. :rock: LOL

Got a guy up here that will use detcord to clear a lot of dangerous stuff, where a guy with a saw would be messed up cutting under it. Snags, widowmakers, hangups, blowdown... Explosives come in handy.

Heck, explosives come in handy for a variety of situations completely unrelated to logging. :)

Redwoods can get pretty punky inside from heart rot. I bore first on most big trees. Sometimes if I know the tree is punky and if I can I will set a pull line in it. The first branches can be really high but I have always, so far any way, be able to throw a line over one. Snags may have no branches but I can get a line over the top or around some projection.
 
Did you guys see Pt. 1? I have trouble with links, but you can find it under snags at the bottom of the video.
The reason it seems like his saw isnt cutting right is the slabs inside are setting down on the bar.

That was not what I was talking about look how long it took him to notch and half back cut the small tree the saw is not sharp imo.
