Okay, so a few days ago, I pulled the Ebay trigger on an 066. Now that I've committed to the purchase, why can't I make myself stop looking at new listings? Coupla 084s have come up...

Yeah, you got the disease with no known cure. You can treat the symptoms, though. Apply liberal amounts of orange machinery and assorted accessories to the affected area. It won't cure you but it will make the affliction easier to endure. ;)

You think thats bad.
I have started just buying extra parts for my saws and setting them back for the, it might break someday and dont want to have to search for parts. :ices_rofl:
Ran out of room for saws, but plenty of space for parts. :D

*snort*

I've caught myself considering buying parts for saws I MIGHT buy one day. I mean, hey, better to have an 090 crank and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I might be able to get away with it for a while, anyway.

So far, it's been:

Gotta buy a 290 because I blew up the Homelite
Need a 660 because the 290's too small for milling

After a while, I might try:

Need a 440 because the 290 sorta sucks
Need a 260 because the 440 is too big for limbing
Need an 075/056/090 because.... uh....

I might need some help with that last one.

:bang:

It's well known that the Husky 455 is a fine milling saw. jk

But seriously you could easily justify an 084/088/090 for milling. Especially if you are milling big hardwood.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that in the "what have you learned here" thread. ALso, that Stihls suck.

Yep... we'll see how it goes with the 660 (gotta go check UPS tracking to see where it is..). Biggest oak I've got is probably about 16".

These are all excellent ideas. You just need to throw in a little "Honey" or "my Dear" here and there. Don't forget, they make excellent gifts for Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Memorial Day, Fourth of July (good day to get an 880), Labor Day, Halloween (saw and a hockey mask makes a great costume), and don't forget - National Arbor Day!

Yup being a saw tramp is terminal, you are gonna die with it, no known cure.

Well there was that guy with a vaccine, but now he is in a shallow grave in San Bernadino county, so technically, no known cure.

Shouldn't that read "several small and shallow graves"?

:chainsaw:

Saw Tramp?!! I prefer "aficionado". We savor the sound and feel and aroma of a good saw like any connoissuer would a fine cigar or vintage wine. :hmm3grin2orange:
