Regarding high voltage wires: That tree is by a 6' fence, so there is no way that tree is over 20' tall. It's not likely to be in high voltage wires at that height.

I dont know i have seen some pretty low high phases most of our poles here are 35 foot[/QUOTE]

Exactly my point. If the pole is 35', then the wires are always at least 33'. Which puts them out of range of that puny tree.

by time you get there cut it down clean it up grind the stump pay your crew and fuel yeah it would be really close to 500 dollars to do.

Really? It's a job that I would do on the way home on top of my days money for about $150.00. I would pay my guy $60.00 for a stump that size on top of that however I'm sure he would have reservations about grinding a stump surrounded by concrete. Like I said how much can you charge foe 10mins work?

It's charging like that that, that gets our industry a bad name.

That's not a cheap bid it's a fair bid $500.00 would be highway robbery. Unfortunately just about anyone IS cutting trees. I would classify that job under 'bush hunting' however.

I'm doing okay already mate. I've got a veritable portfolio of property. I can put my hand on my heart and say I've never ripped off a customer which is why they continue to return. I'm not sure where I'll be five years from now, but I do know I'm retiring in ten. my time is nearly done.
