Hi,
I am a hobbyist woodworker and have a Stihl 076 AV that I bought new in about 1980 and have used to mill the occasional log for lumber over the years. Probably have less than 100 hours on the saw....its mostly sat in storage. It's got a 36" bar with Granberg Alaskan mill, bar oiler, and 3-4 ripping chains. Starts and runs like a champ.

I don't use much anymore and am thinking of selling, but don't want to overprice nor give away.

Any thoughts on a fair price to ask or if I should sell the saw separately from the mill?

Thanks, bob

You might start at $600-650, I would not go much lower than $500..
I'm not sure if those size of saws are rare in your area or not but it is a 30ish year old saw...
Figure $400 for a top notch saw, for the mill look at $150ish...
You can always lower your price but you can never jack it up...
Good luck

thanks for the input! Cheers, bob

I bought an 076 super that was a good runner but by no means a pretty one. Payed around 400 for the power head and got a 36" Windsor speed tip bar brand new for another 125.

This was a year ago or so. I would not let it go for less than 400.

I'd be interested in both the saw and mill as a package. PM me if you want to sell.
