I’ll be chasing them again tomorrow morning

Gonna hit my xbow spot behind my house. I’ve laid off that spot for a few weeks, maybe the 9pt I have on camera will show up. Even though it’s rifle season, it’s a little to “urban” for me to be using a rifle on a Sunday morning
You should see it around our house. There's at least 6 guys sitting in the section with rifles. There are 9 houses on the section. I think our neighbors from Chicago were shocked the first year of rifle season! Welcome to WI!

Unfortunately our home has been a bit of a revolving door for strays. Both cats and dogs. Most we will house until we find them a good home. We have kept one cat and now Luke. Kitty has been a huge factor in getting the chipmunk population under control.

We found this rottie earlier in the summer. We always post something up on social media to try and find the rightful owner. Havent found one yet and we have rescued a bunch. Rottie was a real sweet heart. Went to a nice young family just before we found Luke.

Good on you for doing that.:numberone: If we had a fenced-in yard we'd prolly have a dozen strays.

Add to the list with rubber mats, manual transfer case etc: manual transmission; a real steel key and no stupid "please miss computer, will you start the engine for me" button. Miss computer is on the rag too often.
My biggest pet peeve is proximity locking. People have it set up so when you walk away the car locks(it's now too hard to press a lock button on the fob). Guess what happens when I'm working on it? I walk away with the fob in my pocket and the dang thing locks. I forgot about it, try to open the door and almost rip the handle off.

Love the name, Luke!

I really think sometimes dogs find you. We weren’t looking for another dog. Went to the local pet food store to buy our old dog food and they had a rescue adoption event. From the second I held Gunner, I knew he was a good boy. This dog is amazing. From being able to find deer to protecting my girls to being my sidekick in almost everything. I wouldn’t trade him for $1,000

The pups were abandoned in Arkansas and shipped up to NY. Found out from a buddy of mine who has Plott hounds that he has the look, temperament and nose like one. His nose gets him into trouble sometimes, but also makes him a hero when we’re tracking deer

A guy I used to let hunt on our land gave me 2 turkey legs. I soaked them in Morton's cure for a week or so. Then smoked them on the weber. best turkey I ever had. If y'all were closer, I'd take all your turkey legs. It takes a while to eat a turkey leg, but they are tasty when smoked.
I'll have to look into that and give it a try if I get a turkey next Spring.

Edit: Looked it up. I don't add salt to my food. Did the meat taste salty?

My 2019 F-150 has keyless entry, and we love it. Go hiking, fishing, hunting you just leave the keys in the center console (so you can't lose them in the field) and just enter the keycode when you return. It is nice not to have that key fob in your pocket when you are actively doing things.

So, we ordered the same thing on my wife's 2020 Edge ST. Stupid Thing!!! If you try to leave the keys in the car, it automatically unlocks it!!! How dumb!!! Why have keyless entry, when you get close to it, it just unlocks!!! Makes no sense to me!

I've wondered about that keyless code thing. What if you leave everything in the car/truck because your doing something like, IDK, jet skiing and come back to a dead battery. Your phone is in the car, you cant open the hood to jump the battery. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me to not have a physical key and a lock just in case.

Not sure but there might be a setting to change that unlocking thing Mike. I think the wife changed it in her Bronco. I'll ask her.

Modern vehicles have a low voltage disconnect that will eliminate ignition off draw sources from the vehicle once a predetermined low voltage is detected. This voltage is generally enough to still be able to start the vehicle assuming the battery is otherwise healthy.
Of course there is always a chance the battery could randomly fail but in my experiences that would be the exception not the norm. There are usually warning signs before they go.

most computers shut down around 7 volts to protect themselves, won't fire up under that voltage.
