Im looking at one with a 33in head was just wondering some of the draw backs of the machine.

Maintenance , maintenance, maintenance! If I remember right there was over an hour of daily maintenance.
Good producer in rough ground but $$$$ eating machine.
The earlier models seemed like they worked on them as much as they ran them.

Just wanted some ammo to try to beat the dealer up on.

I handfall oversize right now on a side running a 445 Timbco with a 22" Quadco Hotsaw. That machine goes on some impressive ground. Like all machines of it's nature, there are some things that wear with time, but I have seen that machine hang tough for the 5 years I have been around it with no major issues, really. Of course the operator is top notch, and that makes a big difference in how they last.

Are you new to the bar saw? One draw back on the learning curve is bending bars.... I'm not an operator, but I have seen plenty of it first hand.

The earlier ones need a lot more TLC. The R and D helped reduce a lot of the problem areas.
Yes, with all machines the operator makes all the difference.

The work some crazy ground are the right size. I have seen them grabbing trees to pull them self up to it and scotching the tracks on the stumps to help keep them on the mountain.
