timberhog chain, has anyone heard of this brand? hows the quality? thanks nfp

Can't say that I have heard of the brand, where did you buy it??? We need some clues. There are only so many manufacturers of saw chain in the world so one of them has had to have built it.

dr john

i bought the chain private. the box has part no. AH 63-59R A61 on driver ,not sure about the 9 a little blury. the chain is full house round chisel w/drag on cutter and drag on next link. the timberhog is stamped in a 1/4 moon fashon, maybe this will help. thanks nfp

Timberhog is a Reed Prentice saw that was sometimes sold by sears. A solid saw some find ugly but was successful. Some had Maculloch engines. These saw are pretty easy to work on.
