Toro stx26 won’t start

My stump grinder started giving me problems where sometimes I had to jump start it. It has a new battery. Now it has totally quit trying to start. It won’t even turn over. I’ve tried hooking my jumper cables straight to the starter. I’ve tried grounding the battery straight to the block. There must be something simple that I’m missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It has a Kawasaki fx730v motor. That only has 100 hrs

What happened when you tried jumper cables on the starter? Did it turn over?

Your starter is bad.
Can you post a picture of your starter. I can try to find one with low price.
