Mine (grapple I designed, build and sell) keeps the wood pretty clean as long as you take some care while grabbing the logs.

I’m jealous of your guys tractors. It Dosent make financial sense with 1/4 acre Of land but I want a tractor so bad to help with firewood. All I gotta do is tell my wife I’ll put up a fence for the dogs with it and I’ll be golden haha. It’s just a tough one for even me to rationalize in this case. I’ve been trying!

Hopefully mine will be ready very soon. I got a low hours engine swapped in, and the log grapple is getting close to being ready too. I’ve only used the bucket previously, so I’ll have to get used to the grapple.

Unless that’s a very small dog you got one hell of a big machine there!

This last spring I invested in a new tractor after kicking it around for YEARS and can't believe how much work I can get done with it!

Most of those above look pretty HD. But, I went with the medium-duty landpride grapple and it is a close second to the backhoe as my favorite. I haven't gotten serious back into firewooding yet this fall and can't wait to see how this helps having done things the hard way all these years!

This summer I moved over 30 tons (real number based on my trailer capacity) of rotten deadfall and stumps to clean up a decade of accumulation around my place.
It's great for brush, limbs, and general-purpose stuff. Next up is a more protective grill guard
