You need to redo the "stacked ony one chunk high..." bit. It doesn't make sense as it is. How high is the stack? How long are the chunks? How wide is the trailer?

what I meant was stacked standing on end like soldiers. I can pack them in that way and just about every trailer load would be the same amount. pieces are cut from 12 to 18 inches.

trailer is 16 feet by 6 1/2 feet.

In orange co. NY ......220$ a cord mixed hardwoods split and delivered....2 years ago when I first got my stove I bought a cord of "seasoned" ash rounds for $125 delivered. Maybe by you the price of firewood is higher though.

I've sold random sized piles of wood before, usually in truckload sized quantities.

I'm a member of a few Facebook Buy/Sell/Trade groups. I take a picture of that exact load and write something to the effect of "$50, cash only, delivered today, first come first serve"

I've never had to sit on a load for more than an hour, and usually get a few orders for loads while I'm at it. I also learned that my dually holds almost exactly double the wood as my Ranger, but I have better luck selling 2 Ranger loads. People seem to think a $40 Ranger load is cheap, but a $80 truck is too expensive. Even though the 'price per piece' is as close to the same as I can get it.

craigslist shows between 70 to 95 bucks. some guy my wife works with just paid 95 for a face cord. I'm going to try a trailer of wood for $225 and see how it goes. i'll be sure to state it's fresh cut 100% ash and not split. i'll include a picture of it.

see what happens. the best I can do is sell it, the worst is just add it to my own stash...right?

Get as much as you can for it......I sure would. I was just giving info. on what I paid when I had to buy.
