trash air filter seal on new ms200 rear handle

couple of days ago I opened for the first time, on a week old saw, the air filter. The filter wasn't bad but when I pulled it off of the carb there was dirt buildup inside the carb and inside the air cleaner, the wrong side. Has any body else had this problem?

i always put grease around the edges of my filters for a true seal
