Hey guys. I got this tree on my property. It's a really dead pipe. Looks like it's leaning where I want to drop it.

No structures around. It's not that big , but there's a nice widow maker up top hanging to the left. If I cut from the opposite side I should be okay.

I am worried about the trunk.. are lines known to barber chair? Should I bore cut it?

I've cut allot of dead trees over the years but this one is bothering me for some reason. IMG_7235.JPGIMG_7236.JPGIMG_7238.JPGIMG_7241.JPG

Put a line in it. Do plunge cut with a trigger. That way you can walk a way from the tree before it start to go. Good chance your holding wood might fail being so dead so it could go any where. Thats why you want to have a line in it to pull it over.
Ieave to much holding wood she could barber chair if you have to pull to hard.
That widow maker could brake loose also as it starts to go over. Another plus for the trigger on the back cut. Be careful. Dead pines are no joke. Just be observant of everything. And be ready to run if need be.
Probably go over like a piece of cake. But the potienal is there for something bad.
