Smart enough to know it is not an elm of any kind,,I was thinking paper bark mulberry,, but not sure.

I'm not saying your wrong but the leaves don't match neither does the bark. I'm sticking with ulmus parvifolia I've been around to many of them to miss the unique characteristics of this tree

You are wrong, we do thousands of chinese elm in so-cal every year on annual contracts. Not going to argue with you,

Don't get upset buddy was not even trying to argue with you. Trying to have a constructive conversation about identifying a tree so you can take that attitude and shove it!
Your not the only arborist that maintains tree.
I was simply stating valid points as to wether it is a Chinese elm or mulberry or whatever! Trying to help the op.
Maybe you should put a filter on that mouth of yours before you discredit somebody's suggestion without adding a legitimate plausible alternative.
