I’m up in the Idaho panhandle and looking at a property that appears to have been logged in the past and I’m assuming this is all reprod. The trees all look like they’re sick or dying and I’m wondering if that’s just how they look naturally. Towards the tops of the trees have needles and the bottom is just spindly dead looking branches. The timber all over this entire area looks like that (several square miles of it). The trees are all extremely close to each other. I always referred to them as lodgepole pines but I’m wondering if that’s accurate and if these trees are still healthy or not
