In the top of a tree.
I have a tall oak tree maeby 50 feet or so.
Thee top of is rotten and I don't want to loose the whole tree.
I have been watching videos of tree topping.
Is there anything that I should be espically carefull of?
Any tips or suggestions would be appriceated.

1) What do you mean by "top is rotten"? If it is rotten as in there is significant decay, you may loose the top whether you like it or not...how bad that is can depend, in part, what is under it when it comes down.

2) You don't want to top it...regardless of what the top looks like. That is basically surrendering the tree to dead. If you are going to do that, just finish the job and take it all the way down rather than paying twice.

3) Wanting to make sure I attempt to address your questions....I am not sure what it is you are asking. What do you mean "Is there anything that I should be espically carefull of?" If you are thinking of doing it yourself, my answer to that question would be "yourself". All kinds of things can go wrong in any tree (bad idea to try without training and equipment). That list doubles with rotted trees (worse idea to use that as your first tree).

Taking out a top without clearing lower banches on at least 1 side is a good way to get knocked up the side of the head. Probably just need to remove the tree.
