Tree climber wanted for a small but growing tree service company in San Jose. The job opening is for mostly full time but some weeks can be slow. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in climbing and ISA certification not required but is a plus and must meet the qualifications below.
- Be legal to work in the U.S
- Have valid drivers license (class B or commercial C is a HUGE plus)
- Knowledgeable in the tools, equipment and rigging equipment used and able to show knowledge of knots and equipment used.
- Able to climb without spikes to prune and trim trees and with spikes for removals only.
- Knowledgeable of pruning standards, and able to clean palm trees well and safely including Canary Island Date Palms.
- Work and maneuver at considerable heights sometimes over 100ft under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions; must possess physical strength and agility, good balance, good depth perception.
- Is safe and has a great work ethic and pays attention to detail and takes pride in work done.
- Must be able to work long overtime hours if needed and lift at least 70 pounds.
- Must be able to pass periodic drug testing.
- Must speak English and be able to verify past work experience.
- Must have own climbing gear
