hey jock,
where in scotland is this event taking place???????
i was over there a few years back vistiting my sister.......
she was there on a teacher's exchange program in
burnt island (just south of edinbrough). SCOTLAND RULES!!!!!!
had a blast the 2 weeks i was there!!!!! the royal botanical
gardens outside of edinbrough were amazing........120' glass-
houses w/ some of the biggest palms that i have ever seen in
my life......... and i live in florida

Guys, the show was held in Lockerbie near Dumfries, it was ok, but only if you are interested in harvesters and forwarders!!! The pole climbing was good..an 80ft D/Fir, best time was i think 13.5 secs, by some frenchman, there was all european climbers and one Canadian, I think i also put somewhere in a thread that there was a world logging competition, but all the teams were european, well sorry i was misinformed there was a south african team and a team from the U.S. ...Germany won, Austria second, and Finland third, lots of chippers and climbing equipment, not bad but seen better.....Jock
