Anyone using the treepedo? PROS? CONZ?
pros of the Treepedo
Safe to use because of its ease of movement even on retrievals, simply pull in opposite direction of missed shot navigates the tree like a slippery fish.
will help to prevent failure of hazardous trees while positioning for TIp or positioning rope
optimal geometric form for two way torpedoing
arborist are commenting they wil use it any time any where over the throw bag
adaptable-personalize it with stickers, paint, reflective tape, weights, coupling bolts, interior and exterior connection
The Treepedo likes a little luck on the throw but that is all.
The Treepedo is made of precision machined aluminum and stainless steel. The two cones couple together precisely with internal SS weight machined to fit inside precisely also comes with S.S. cotter pins, split ring, coupling bolt and protective sleeve. $ 100.00 is very reasonable if you consider the material and craftsmanship. Also replaces a lifetime of throw bags and is multi-purpose. Throw bags are actually costing you more money in comparison. Wasted materials, wasted time, wasted efforts and the never ending frustrations with jamming snagging etc.
We have come this far with the Treepedo because I designed it to save me as an arborist time, money and effort which it has easily done for me every time I throw it. Decision is yours I can only give you the info.
If it really saves time it could easily be worth the $
Treepeedo please explain how this will save time compared to shotbag/bigshot
I see the 2 way streamlined shape what else makes it better?
Hey man, no offense. I can see that you joined here to hawk your gizmo. Cool. Thing is, I've had my same throw bags for the last five years and have never had a major problem other than a rip in one which I sewed up with an awl after filling it with copper shot. I don't know what your production costs are, but I have a feeling that you're maybe trying to turn a pretty high profit per sale. That's your choice, and right, but I can't see popping for one, at your price, as it now stands. Good luck, though.

I cannot recall needing more than five minutes to hit a target limb. If the throw cannot be set up with a throw bag, I can't see how the new gizmo will do any better when it comes to a given trajectory. Granted, I can see how it might not get stuck as easily as a throw bag, but that's about it.
When it comes to tricky placements, if I try to get my bag over a poorly positioned limb and it won't set after five throws, I set my target elsewhere. I never waste much time with a throw bag, so I can't see popping for big bucks for this new gizmo.
I tie my bag using a slippery slip knot where I can untie it in seconds before pulling my line back out. I have never had a throw bag get stuck because I never pull it back up and out once it fails to set where I wanted it to.
What's the height distance you can get out of it? As others have said Big shot and throw bag are really accurate once one is competent at using them. Takes me 1-2 shots 100% of the time with the Big shot. I couldn't open the youtube video from the computer I was using is there another way of launching it other then it shows on your site?

height wise easily over 200' no problem watched a 180' climb straight up am not sure how long could have been few second or more before it started to descend. Its built for speed and ease of movement any way you handle it
