tm had a post in yesterday's trees vs.houses that just cracked me up...
whats the funniest/most agrivating item you ever left in a tree? theres a pair of gloves in a 210' cottonwood i was pruning last year up on the Santiam river near Mill City,Or. only worn once. nice leather. i guess i might go back up after them. the customer there wants me to come back again this year

I found a very nice pearl and gold necklace up in a smaller locoust once, about 20 ft from a motel's 2nd floor balcony.

i saw something soft and slinky lookin in a tree in downtown vail, co.,right outside some fancy hotel, but it was about 2am and we had all been out paryting and my brother wouldnt let me climb to investigate...

On a serious note, I have left a few throw balls in trees that got stuck.

Once a guy pissed me off and ran a branch across my face....Somehow I forgot and left my cool in the tree.....

i was helping a friend unload a trailerful of fir limbs, not big 2-3" diam. into the pit at the dump.we kind of started racing and gettung tired. pretty soon i leaned toward his side of the trailer to grab one and wound up catching one right in the kisser as he was swinging it-POW right off the trailer and into the dirt. i guuess the funny part was that he didnt even know what had happened i just sat there laughing. i know dorky story, but whatyaxpect from a dork

i almost left a biner in a tree today i was so tired but i free climbed up to it and got it out. i found out after the fact that if i had just got on the ground and tugged on it, it woulda come right out oh well

I was prunning a few norway Maples in a back yard. Got home could find my wallet. went back and looked all over the property, no luck had to replace every thing drives lic. ,credit cards, ohip card(goverment heath card) city I.D, money, every thing.

The next year the clients phone me back and said there kid found it in a crouch of the tree 6' of off the ground, I look for hours for that wallet.
I woud saw that was the worst for me.

I once too lost my wallet while climbing. the tree overhung a house. When i realized my wallet was missing, I too returned to the site too look for it and had no luck, I was just about to give up and go home when I looked up at the gutters on the house and thought "I wonder"...

...sure enough, there it was sitting in the gutter, glad I found it. Since then I never climb with my wallet in my pocket, it alsways stays in the truck

zippo's are one to leav in the truck as well. Found an 8" plastic skelaton chilling on a branch 50 ft up a lombardy popular a bit back and last may when i was emptyiong a trailer full of lawson cypress i chucked this branch to land at the head grounds man's feet and as it left my hand he decided to check his shoe laceses. knocked him cold for a minute or two, he got up and sacked me for the day then relized that i was giving lifts to the other bloke that was working with us so he got sacked for the rest of the day as well and the heaad grounds man was left to unload the trailer and chip it all himself.

Had my cellphone on a wrist strap that I looped over a sm branch. Started ringing about five sec after I got the roped pulled out. boy was I tweaked when I realized where the ringing was coming from. I let somebody on the ground carry the phone now.
