ok I'll bite... checking refers to cracks that form when wood dries and shrinks, usually on the end of a board or log first. "cut in" he was referring to was taking a chain saw to cut into the end of the log making an X, in this case to mark the logs.Adrpk said:I'm sorry, checking, cut in. What does that mean?
