Didn't, bought 2 gallons and left plenty for others. Why, does the shoe fit?
If any store was sold out, TSC offers a rain check that was even mentioned in the thread by a member who successfully did that. So it really doesn't matter who bought how much - there is plenty to go around. In fact, this very thread alerted guys who were able to match at their own store. Again, sorry you can't see that.

That doesn't help the guy who needs a gallon of bar oil now to go cutting and not a stupid rain check. Sorry you don't get that.
That's ridiculous. Should I only buy food that I can eat for a single meal at the grocery store too? Hope you find peace for whatever makes you so bitter.

That's a dumb analogy, man. Nice try. You'll find peace when you start treating others better.
Analogy is spot on. No problem here treating people well - I'm not the one who came here to call other members "dirtbags" with no "consideration" and an "illness".

They run this sale quite often, so there's no need to be a dirtbag and buy out the whole store. Have some consideration for the next guy who might need 1 or 2 to refill the wood shed. Nobody needs to stockpile 18+ gallons of bar oil just to save a few bucks. Hoarding is an illness.
They get more every week and if it’s on the shelf you can buy as much as you want get over it

The stores here won’t honor the sales price at other Tractor supply stores. It’s been a few years since they ran the half off sale in the Northeast . And how much bar oil a person can have or buy isn’t up to you .

Get off your high horse

Some people definitely have the hoarder mentality. It's why we went through the great toilet paper shortage. I can't even imagine how long it will take to go through 18 gallons of bar oil.

On another note, if they put the winter blend on sale at that price it would be a good deal right now. The Husqvarna X-Guard All Season was on sale at TSC for 19.99. Picked up a couple of gallons.

I cleaned the shelf off the other day of 8 gallons at TSC. I don't consider myself a hoarder of bar and chain oil. I piss thru that stuff just like I do premium gas and diesel fuel. I'm not going to drive 20 miles out of my way to buy 2 gallons of chain oil at a time when they are on sale now.

"No rainchecks will be issued, item must be in stock."

Says that right on the price match policy page so if a member got the deal he got lucky

If you buy it at $5.99 you can wait for it to go back to full then offer it to friends for $8 or something.

Was able to buy 12 of the 13 gallons they had in stock this am. Was $6.99. Left one on the shelf for someone else.
Oh the irony…

I forgot they opened one 50 miles from me about a month ago. That $5 Christmas shipping is a great thing. $7 or so a gallon is a good price.
They just opened another one near me. The older one is about 40 minutes west of me , the new one is about 35 minutes southeast. Counting time and gas, the $5 shipping is a great deal for me. Ended up $6.80 a gallon. I should have ordered a few more but that will last me a couple years or more.
