Ill be looking for a splitter soon and would like to buy used. There seem to be a bunch of hardly used horiz/vert machines available right now. I prefer a horizontal only with the added work space and not haveing to deal with the tires in the way. I was looking at the troybilt 33 ton horz/vert today and wondered if I could just turn the whole unit around. I would probably have to add a couple brackets but that would be no big deal. Any thoughts?

You know what they say.....If you have to ask.....

Me, I haven't even bothered to ask!

I looked at the troybuilt today also. The wheels are in the way so I wouldn't get it.The 22 ton (husky) at TSC has the beam about 2 " BEHIND the tires so their not in the way. Also the Husky is about 3" higher( 31")and that's a better working hight for me.I stood next to both and ,bulled on the lever and the Husky was a lot more natural for me.YMMV
