I wanted to do this job in a day so we wouldnt have to truck the horses again. 93 logs,(I think, lost track a few times counting) don't know how many trees. I just put them down, marked the logs out for the skid guy, topped them and moved on before the horses ran me over. Took us 7 hours and 10 minutes. And we pulled out a few poles for firewood as well. A lot of fun, good day logging.

The best side benefit to logging. (Besides having an excuse to always smell like 2 cycle exhaust and horses.)

The twitch trail, not bad at all. Back drag it with a tractor blade or bucket and a little seed and you done.

That's something to be proud of!

Got any pictures of your horses? Harnessed up?

Thanks Bead, no I dont, I did the job yesterday and took the pics today when I met with the land owner. Ill post some of the teams next time out.

Are you using an arch?

Sure is nice you have lots of room to deck. One time a trucker told me it took him 15 min to move while it may take longer to deck with a team. He didn't mind moving, I didn't mind not making art.
