Hello, Im an arborist in the UK.
Im am planning on moving to Canada in the next couple years either temporary or permanently.
But I was wondering how arborists are certificated in Canada, In the UK we have the National Proficiency Test Council.
for example
NPTC CS30 Chainsaw Maintenance and cross cutting
NPTC CS38 Tree climbing and aerial rescue
NPTC CS39 Chainsaw use from a rope and harness
There are many others for tasks such as pruning, sectional felling and cutting from work platform.
I guess my main question is if my certificates are valid or recognized in Canada?
And how are you normally employed, whether it be by a company or a self employed individual?
Cheers Matt
