I just wondering how many of guys have tried this and what you think. I went out shopping this weekend for winter layers. I picked up some of the long sleeve shirts and boxer briefs. I been wearing the boxer briefs and wow. I never had underwear so comfortable. Better than silk. I have to go out get more. These are a little pricey however to burry under some bushes. I'd have to give them to Pat to clean up for me.

I've been wearing them for years, go to something like Penny's outlet and they are relativly cheap. If they are seconds then the price is even better.

Howmany use the high end wicking fabrics? I've been wearing these $9 wigwam socks for almost a year now (12 pair, not just one ;) )

I've been using boxerbriefs for and smartwool socks for years now. Don't ever want to go back. My feet stay comfy, dry, and warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They last over a year with hard use and are worth the $10 a pair. Also my feet don't stink as much

I have a few sets of the expensive wicking stuff, cant be beat for extra cold but I only pull that stuff on in the fead of winter. or sometimes I will wear it under raingear if I know I will be doing work in the constant, cold rain weather. I have tried the wicking socks but I prefer good old woollies. I have a set of fleece lined wicking poly unders, with balaclava for under the hat or helmet, I could spend all day ouside at well below freezing in the unders alone! Throw a heavy fleece jacket and pants over, raingear (goretex) on top and you are ready for the world.

Smartwools for the feet, yes. Polypro liner gloves inside the uglygloves, double yes when below freezing. Chainsaw protective pants are much more in vogue this time of year. Under those, spandex tights become a regular player in the cold. I love working in the Winter!

I spend too much on socks. A lot of the smartwool I get are about 13.00 a pair, but oh are they nice!

Yes, polypro everything for me. Shirts, hats, gloves, pants. It's worth the money to be dry, warm, and comfortable.

Worth the money?

So, if it's worth the money to keep warm do your saws have heated handles like mine?

You know, last winter I tried to get an adapter for the MS200T. All the people I spoke to (calling stihl, emailling them, and asking local stores) said that the heated handles were only available on the Canadian models.

I shoulda asked arboristsite!

So how'd you get it?
