Damn Doc P...had you ever given this angle a thought...A lady comes here for the first time, joining this site, and explains a problem she's had with a 'John Travolta' cool boy tree-cutter. Things went south...but she's got nutz enough to bring her story here. I understand the 'two sides to every story' deal...but I think the gal is legit. Why wouldn't she be? Who in their right mind would come here as a lady, and spill their guts, knowing damn good and well, she'll be picked apart, or had at the damn stake...on this 99.9% testosterone driven, male site?? I don't believe the woman's parading around her yard in a skimpy ass two piece looking for anything to be done. I think she brought a legit problem here and is looking for advice as to how to handle it.

Sure we're having a little derail and some fun in this...show me a thread that doesn't?? You can't honestly say this lady is trying to manipulate or play us on this site?...now can ya?

Well, Im not really a Vet. Just a former Army Guardsman - not qualified to be a proper Vet, but I'm proud of the little bit that I did. Younger bro is a former Marine, older bro is still in the Navy.

Yes, there's quite a bit your missing. First of all, why do you refuse to take her comments at face value? Could it be that she really is telling the truth? If she wanted work done for nothing, then why is she bothering to come here and ask for advice? She's not going to get any help from us who live so far away.

Second of all, I agree with you that there are two sides to every story, and her angle likely doesn't have all the facts, but is that any reason to assume she's lying and manipulating?

Third, she came here for advice and perhaps a bit of sympathy - why do you feel the need to slam her? Do you swat flies with a sledgehammer? If you had something helpful to say that might have been a 'painful truth' moment, didn't it occur to your highly educated mind that being nice about it is much more likely to sink in than being an ass?

And Fourth, there's nothing much any of us can do anyway - AS is what is known as "Social Media." Why be so unsociable? When your friend is crying because his dog died, you don't tell him to quit being such a baby over something so stupid - you pat his had and offer him sympathy, regardless of what you feel about his actions. It's called "kindness."

You really ought to give it a shot sometime. I know they don't teach it in higher level education. You'll have to learn it elsewhere. (Perhaps right here....)

Doc...listen to me. I don't have a dog in this fight...one way or the other. But I do believe the gals complaint is legit. That's all. I ain't trying to kiss ass or peel the panties off this lady...at some point ya gots to understand this, my man.

Now, as far as me...no I'm not a tree climber, nor a tree man by trade. I spent many yrs in the Marine Corps working on A-6/E Intruders and E/A-B Prowlers, which is there electronic/tactical jamming version of the A-6. Now I work, govt DoD, and have been for yrs, keeping C-17's for the Air Force, in the air. We also do Depot Level maintenance on F-15's, C-5's, and C-130's...

So now let's get beyond my 'dumbass' tree cutting and climbing abilities...or the total lack thereof. You tellin' me I gotta be one or the other to have a say in this? Surely you just phucking with me...righto?? That's what I'm thinkin'...
