upgrading bucket truck

I'm thinking of upgrading my 1998 Altec LRV3, 55', to something newer and with a bit higher reach. I am thinking of Altec again or Terex. I hear mixed reviews on both. Can anyone share their experience with the Terex recalls on the XT booms? I am looking for used at this point.

whats up AAtree, i own tristate forestry equipment, check us out on the web. www.tristateforestryequipment.com i would recommend staying with the altec boom. telex and the recalls is a idiot fix to a idiot design flaw. I've seen the weldments that there putting in as a "fix" breaking and failing. i have several alter booms , give me a call and well talk about your options. thanks joe
