Also of note is the fact that a vast portion of Canada's timberland is either outright owned by or leased to Weyco following their successful buyout of MacMillan-Bloedel. To understand why Canadian lumber isn't ending up in China is to understand why Weyerhauser isn't selling Canadian lumber to China. There has got to be more money in keeping it on this continent somehow.
