I can tell you for a fact that SS will speed up your operation considerably. I've never seen a used one on CL, but that looks like 1/2 price from new. I don't sell that much, but I resplit my extra wood to sell when my personal owb bins are full. I love my SS.

What are you waiting for?
:D
If you weren't posting the original question while on your way to inspect the splitter, it may be gone by the time you get there.

Holy chit...I'm heading to get it, lol. I want another SS to keep my current SS HD company. On a serious note, at $1800, doesn't matter if it's the J model with twin 74lb flywheels or HD model with twin 90lb flywheels (would even be a sweeter deal)...if I were closer, my azz would be heading to Jersey for that bad boy. That's a helluva deal. Your production will go two-fold. Don't understand the 'SSse-24' description, I dont believe with that 7hp engine that's any gear reduction Special Edition version, I could be wrong though, just never seen a Special Edition offered other than with the 9hp Honda 2:1 gear reduction engine. No one would be foolish enough to part ways with an SE model for less than half price nohow.

I'd jump on it OP if you can get it...helluva deal right there. The Subaru Robins engines are dead nuts reliable, dependable engines.

If you got the coins, you need to be calling this guy NOW before someone else jumps on it.

No, I honestly haven't had the time to call. Going to call during lunch today. Heading out of town for the weekend at 3 tomorrow. It's about an hour drive. Hoping I can convince the guy to hold onto it for me.

You need to stop waiting and go get it. It will probably be gone but another deal will come along in 4 to 8 years or so

Yup...past experience has taught me to act fast when dealing with craigslist. Some folks sit around all mornin' long just scouring the ads lookin' for deals just like the OP's;)

Would like to see you get the SS there OP...in lieu of typing your last post, my arse would've been dialing a phone number in half the time it took to post. I hope you get it...but you know how it goes about 95% of the time...if ya snooze, ya lose.

No doubt! I thought he was ready to move, or already on the way when he posted yesterday. Good luck getting your hands on it now. Like someone said earlier, you might get the next one in 7 or 8 years.
I've had my CL app looking for a used SS for the last 4 years. Haven't seen one in my area yet.

Heck I will drive out there and get it. Be there before the OP with cash in hand. Might bring the trailer so the ride home wont be so long.
