Welcome to the Chainsaw Forum Bill,by the way I am looking for a skidder, are you for sale .This is not a serious forum lots of funnin around and the only one who takes this site at a very serious and professional approach is John Lambert.

Hey,
Just wondering where I can pick up a pair of the lightweight, stealth eyewear that those guys are using running the V-6? :)

I might mention that (V6Bill) is currently building his own V8 Hotsaw. He is also basing it on a buick 215 cid.

Just maybe we can get him to post his pics as I did; from begining to end.

So Bill, here is your time to start a thread

me

This is new to me happy new year to Robert, Dennis. John and Suzi . No i!.m not 6 6 350 i!m 6 0 282 cutting at night no glasses to dark C U I DON!T TELL US NO OR WE WILL cut safe with sharp chain v6 bill AKA HOT SAW BILL

Welcome to AS Bill, and Happy New Year to you as well!

I have had the pleasure of seeing the V6 Nitrous in action and it's an amazing saw. I have also had the pleasure of cutting with Bill on the Predator.

With any luck we will have both Bill and the V6 in Clearwater this year to cut against the Predator.

Let us know the status on your V8 Bill!

We have considered many different engines...What it comes down too, is can you pick up this engine or any other.

Remember, they are heavy and act just a little bit different when running and in your hands. At least for me 500 or 600 lbs. of saw is all I really wanna handle...I have seen however V6 Bill work up a big "MAD" and lift his saw a half dozen times back to back to back etc. This is where the big boys play though.

Hopefully, V6 Bill or Birl (head wrench) will post pics of the newest unlimited saw on the circut as it is being built. And Bill, make this one lighter than you last saw......PLEASE

The reason I asked is an LS1 is an aluminum V-8 engine. They weigh around 400 lbs complete and the parts are readily available. I know very little about the type of saws you guys build and run. To me it made sense, but so did jumping out of a perfectly good airplane a few years ago.

So, Bill...just curious if you were finished screwing around piping your hardhat (which I must say the color really brings out your eyes) and done any work to that saw yet?? I expect to see the V6 and the V8 in full race mode this year....don't make me come there and show you how to run that thing!!!

v6

Hi Dennis Yes im done with head work If you are going to show me how to run my saw you need to start 42oz. curls not 12oz. will see if i can find some more parts to post V6 BILL

Bill...would those 42oz curls be pony kegs?? Get some pics on here...we want to see!! I will try to stop and see you in March on my way south! So what is going to be different on your 215 from the Pred???

HOTSAW

Well lets see here now first of all KID lift lots of the 42s then you can move up to the pony kegs. Pred vs Secret Sv8 about $4000.00 . See im thinkin as big as i am i can put the motor together and just weld a crank on the crankshaft and turn it over by hand. Rotax has got the hot ???? stuf in his ,my budget is a lot lower and my girlfriend will .not work two jobs like his wife did.so i can have 2 big toys to .play with. I could pull the v6 down and use the drive units and nitro . But im not ,when im done i will have 2 half ass saws .

Bill, you gotta talk to that gf of yours and explain to her why that second job is necessary....

Regardless, get some pics of that SSV8 out here...and get some work done on it....Tell Birl I may have to come see him when I am there as well...I need to see this drag engine he is building...A New Chainsaw?? Hmm....
