Have 252 with only about 200 hrs. on it. Jackshaft is walking over & causing pulley holding clutch belts to rub on guard. What is best way to fix this? Try to move jackshaft out by moving jackshaft bearings & then adjusting all belts? or loosening set screw holding pulley on shaft & trying to move it out?

I've encountered same issue. The jackshaft slid about a good 1/4". The collar on the cutter wheel pulley side slides freely for adjustment when I loosen set screws. The other collar will not even spin on the jackshaft. I can clearly see exposed metal where the collar slid but i can't break it loose to adjust jackshaft. Is there a trick I'm missing????:msp_confused:

If you want to get involved with it do this. Readjust everything so its right, remove the set screws and mark the holes with a sharpy. Then disassemble the shaft enough to move the bearings or shaft over enough to drill a little whole in the shaft. You can do this for every one of the set screws or just one per side. You're only drilling enough to proved a little pocket for the screw. This will help to keep the set screw from loosening up. Or you could just use some loctite.
