I recently bought a 97 vermeer 1800. It doesn't seem to throw the chipping as far as our bc1500 when it comes to small brush. Are all bigger chippers like that or could it be that mine is having a fit? Thanks for any help

we have a couple 1800s - one from '96 with I believe a 115 perkins and the other from '05 with the big JD engine. We've never had any issue packin' our trucks tight. I do think the 1800xl with the jd engine has better chip velocity though -- it might just be the engine size on the older models  dunno

I'm suprised to see you with the 1800 really. I really thought ya'll had a pretty clean setup with the vermeer you had. Cool truck and site too! I hope you continue to do well -- good luck.

Thank you james. We still have the 1500, we bought the 1800 because in the near future, we hope on buying another chipper truck. The 1800 has the same 115hp perkins engine. I've spoke to tech at vermeer, and said that's the way they are. But I don't know. I've seen your guys in Irving a lot. so are you the guys that did tree work on the houses behind mine? Seems like you are very established in Irving. Thanks for your kindness and wish you the best as well
