I have a 2000' Ford F750 forestry truck. The other day had a little mishap and the operator sat the bucket down on the ground to refuel his saw, jumped back in and hit the wrong direction on the handle and pushed the bucket along the ground causing it to pop and go unlevel. It looks like the leveling system took a shot and the chain jumped a cog or two on the sprocket. I have been getting two different stories and would like some opinions. First, I have been told to replace ALL of the leveling chains and rods, better to be safe then sorry. Others have said to simply adjust the tensioner, put the bucket back to level, inspect and go back to work. Big problem is, getting inspections and certified lift mechanics is really tough out here. The closest shops are clear in Washington and Canada. Definately leaning toward just replacing everything but sure is expensive, I don't want anyone to get hurt then again I hate to throw that kind of money into somthing if it really don't need to be done. Any thoughts?
