I am selling a very nice condition stihl ms260. The saw was given to me as a gift. I just don't need this saw I allready have three saws and I don't cut a lot of wood so I'm letting this saw go. The saw has the ceramic chain catcher dual dogs elastostart handle black cover on air filter cover to limit the amount of dust getting on air filter extra air filter cover adjustable oiler owners manual two chains and files. This saw is the pro version. Starts and runs great. Oils as should. the saw has a 16 inch carlton bar and stihl chain. .325 chain.

Hey Josh- long time no talk-Man you always have the most pristine saws for sale! Someone needs to jump on this- when Josh sells one of his saws- you better believe it is in as close to perfect condition as you can get. IDK if the part is actually OEM as it is not my saw, however that is a factory Stihl option. That is technically the "winter cover". The black shroud is to direct more engine heat to the airfilter to prevent carb icing/running lean in extreme cold operating conditions.

How is that different than doing this (from MS260 manual)?

Some heat escapes through the gap between the standard air filter cover and cylinder cover. The black rubber piece closes the gap, directing more of the hot air into the filter cover.
