Anybody know the best way to patch spike holes in the sides of these? Don't ask.

throw them away and buy new ones.
Nope. Patch them and they will have character.
Plus you'll have saved a hundred bucks, not considering the cost of the Freesole stuff. Or colored duck tape should you choose to reinforce whatever.

Yup...that's the way we do it. Maybe all those rich NH loggers can afford to throw away repairable boots but us poor Left Coast types just have to make do. :hmm3grin2orange:
if they are a year or 2 old i say toss 'em. besides they are a tax write off.
Wish I had a picture of one of my pairs of Kulien corks...they have LOT'S of character!
.:hmm3grin2orange: I have enough tax write offs. And why toss a perfectly good pair of boots that a couple of bucks worth of repair can fix? If I used your logic as a guide I'd buy a new 660 every time mine got dirty and push my D6 over a cliff whenever it was time for new filters. Oh, and there's a cracked window on the crummy...maybe I'll just bop on over to the Ford dealer and get a new one. Or two. What the hell...it's write-off.

. It,s ok , Too many Red Bulls ?????? Did you get some of that sticky stuff yet .. I really recommend wearing those thin gloves when you are using the stuff ...It is STICKY ......
Try to use a coordinating color. Yellow or green would be nice. Green might make it so your feet don't show up in the brush though, and then you might cut your boot. So, I think yellow would be the best.
