The crazy thing is an Appliance company owns them all, Electrolux is a Swedish home appliance company that got its start selling Vacuums of all things...What screwed Poulan was Husqvarna, when they were bought by husky, husky had to be the professional line poulan was knocked down to homeowner status, bc they were still producing some pro stuff at the time of purchase i.e Poulan pro 415,425,445,475,505 and the pioneer base 405,455,525,655s, after that they just used the name bc it was well known and produce the mediocre saws by the millions

Which both were good saws at the time.Well they werent 100% poulan back then they had some pioneer and partner help
