When Christina Wells takes the podium, you are advised to fasten your seat belts. She is a gifted speaker with a dazzling delivery--no ummms or Aahs will be heard; she finds the right word every time. After she spoke at the ASCA conference last month, over a hundred guys from the audience stampeded the stage just to get close to her. It was wild; rock star kind of reaction.

I have been there for the last 6 years and I dont think I have ever seen the Super Bowl.....I wonder what I was doing all that time?

It's DNR and WAA so the cost is the same for everyone, check the link above, but I think it is $140 per person at the door for all three days.

Great show! there were some very informative speakers this year. It is allways good, but this year was Grrreaaaat!

One little nugget that stuck with me is that nitrate fert causes the tree to through out carbon into the soil, where amoniacal fert does not cause this reduction of stored reserves.

Use amonia fert on trees, not urea based.

I wish I could read my notes, i'd remember so much more

John, I went to a laptop years ago and it made a huge difference in the value gained from conferences.

I've been mulling over getting a tablet since they've improved handwriting softwear. I've got to think too much while typing to concentrate on what is being said.

The biggest thing I wish i remembered are the byproducts of urea metabolism and that of ammonium nitrate.

So wadja think of Dr. Wells? Was her delivery rapid-fire?

It was a good review of the planting depth problem reenforcing that the selection/installation time is the best for enusring proper depth. Harvest and transport can lower basal depth in a B&B plant.
