If you'd like pm me and I will give you a detailed description. I have taught a lot of people. Best way is to write down the process in detail and you can refer to it until it becomes ingrained.

That last pict that was embedded.....I sometimes I think that some direction is looked for just by posting picts....

You should have 2 tie ins cutting that close to your line and...

If you are going to do that much aerial cutting...why not get the proper tool....an MS200?

edit: I retract the first one, I went back and you can see the 2nd tie in better.

As for the 200T had 2 of them stolen...both my new ones should be here tomm.:clap:...using my backup echo or shindy top handles suck no comparson to the 200

its a cs 300....my pair of 200 t's got stolen.....2 more should be in tomm according to ups tracking

why does it look like you're notching that towards the house? And the notch looks really deep?

the camera man is probaly 80 to 100 yards away zoomed in on me...making it look like the house is real close to the tree but there was a good 30 to 40 feet away from house and was a 10' chunk/block...yes it was notched towards the house...i had about a 15'x30 to 40' area to drop everything at....bunch of landscaping, and fence behind me was 10' away. my notches vary depending on situation.
dont really rember but it does look big from pic....i think i would of used a smaller notch in that situation to get the peice to kinda jump and land flat vs butt or top first

ah, i see your a tongue man like myself. All the greats were. :greenchainsaw:

All my help says i do that or maybe because it was like 24degrees out and i had chapped lips but i'll stick with all the greats do it

I bought a cs360T on the advice of my friend and stihl mechanic when they first came out. What a dog. It has been sitting on the shelf for years.

I can't remember ever working with anyone that I felt had superior skills to me. Are you somewhat new to the biz? (no offense meant)

I've always been around tree work growing up, my grandfather owned a <a land clearing buisness in WV. I've worked for him as a teenager running a skidder and root rake 963 loader for a couple years....then ended up working with the fellers, his buisness went to hell... I got work with a land clearing company in my home town area...did that for awhile and because of my young age at the time (20) did not have the respect of my fellow crew
but yet was paid as good as my forman...things went down hill. So I started my own landscaping biz and was always finding myself doing tree removals for freinds of mine that are landscapers. So over the past 8 to 10 years I've gradually have been doing more and more tree work for myself. I would say 60% of the the work I do is landscaping and 40% is tree work......but 80% of my income is from tree work and 20% from landscaping.
I'm working on getting things in order to do tree work only. I love to climb and
have alot of contacts to help me with more comm type of work and the such.
In realality I could do tree work only and be fine income wise but just want all my ducks swimming in a straight row first...
As for my worker with superior skills then me...he's been a climber for another company for a long time (15yrs)untill his body could'nt do it everyday and he does something different now that pays him more money. His other job he works mon to weds...Since were good friends he offers me his services anytime from thursday to sunday....I learn alot from him and this site....I've been lurking on here for years, before even becoming a member.
So all in all I guess you could say I'm new to this in a way. I have alot to learn and maybe with my persnal exp alot i can share with others.
