Want to Keep xeriminox's 346XP OE

Hi folks,

In the spirit of point/counterpoint, fair is fair and what ever other little sayings there are, here is my opinion of my purchase.

I got the saw and it is every bit as good as I expected - just like the pictures. It was well packed and got to me in 3 or 4 days. I call that fast shipping. I haven't run it yet as I need a bar. I did pull the muffler and the piston and ring look like new, just as Matt (xeriminox) said.

I think I got a great saw at a VERY fair price. He even threw in a few bonuses (couple of good used chains and some Husky 2 cycle mix).

He's a good, honest seller and I'd buy from him again in a heartbeat.

Exactly. Just because you can say or do something doesn't mean you should.

I try to always give honest evaluations. Every public forum needs a buyer/seller feedback system of some sort. I try to give positive feedback as much as possible because online feedback is grossly biased to the negative. People don't take the time to write publicly when they are happy with a transaction, but jump right in when they're pissed off with one.

I think the first line of communication in a dispute should be between the buyer and seller. Then, if that doesn't resolve things, by all means go public. I have done it myself. I even managed to get banned from the Western Rat forum after the local Triumph dealer tried to steal more money from me before giving me my part that I had already pre-paid when I ordered it. They were a sponsor of the forum. Good riddance to both. The dealer is now out of business.

I sort of "invited" XSKIER into this thread when I chose the title. I had two reasons for starting it - the main reason by 90% was to acknowledge a good buy from a good seller. The other 10% was because I thought "other" 346 thread was inappropriate and should be balanced out.

BTW, my saw had already arrived the day that other thread was started so the packing and shipping were not influenced by anything here.

While I do agree with that statement, the "other" 346xp thread was meant to help other buyers, and give someone the opportunity to buy a cheap beater saw. Maybe xeriminox was having a bad day when he got good money for a beater saw, and then packaged it as such? I doubt it.

that 346 you got will run and outcut your stihls. YOU just don't know how to make it do that . whenever i get a saw from anyone regardless of whether online or my next door neighbor i always retune it whether it was tuned properly or not to begin with. i'm gonna go ahead and say you ripped that box to have something to ***** about. what do you think about that skier?

That seems to happen a lot online. People say things before they really think it over. I know I'm guilty of doing that.

We should all try to post like we would if the person was standing in front of us.....rather than miles away.
