There is a guy outside of Seward, AK that makes really good knives out of old saw bars, the edges are quenched in seal oil, he claims thats how they become hard enough to hold an edge. The rest of the blade has a bit "softer" quality to it. ???? fine skinning knife. I.R.B.I Knives, he's quite a character.

There is a guy near here that uses old chains to make Damascus knives.
