You were welcome to bar are any one that may need it. at my coast I am not trying to sell the bar. I have several different bars that are new.Every member has been mighty good helping me.I was just trying do the same. This was the first time that I might be of some help to a member. What I know about saws has come from the members. So I am of no help when it comes to repair work Being a memberhas been a Education for me on chain saws
My 2 cents,experience speaking.A McCulloch pro 610,[3.7 cu in],using a 28" bar,will protest,quite a bit.It doesn't care for that big of a load.A 6-10[4.3 cu in] will handle it just fine.Both prefer about 20 ".

you are 1000% correct. My old pro610 loves a 16" bar Now my 200 may hae the cc for a 28". The bar with it is 18" 404-63 My 10-10 no way.

I purchased chain for my Husky 3120xp full chisel= bar 60" Have never used chain Feel it is to much work for saw--do I need a full skip for that length bar??
I would run full skip on that long of a bar just think how many files it would take if you rock that chain not to mention the time to file it Plus the saw will perform better with skip
Excuse me,what is a 200?I imagine a 3120,will pull a 60",but why?The longest bar I own,is 48",usable length, past the dogs. When used, which is very seldom[ 3 times in 2 years],it's used on a Homelite 2100s,or McCulloch sp 125.It's a hard to find .058 by .404. 143 drivers.I could not find any full chisel ,skip,in this size.Fact is,I got some of the last full comp,Baileys had.It pulls it ok,but would do better with skip, which I use on my 36" bars[.063].If you have never ran long bars, you will gain a great respect for the Pacific coast loggers,in very short order. The picture,is one I posted earlier .I'm a little over 6 ft,230 lbs.As you can see,the saw and bar are nearly as long,as I am tall.

Some thing in the back of my mind made me feel I had made a mistake that I had purchased the wrong chain. As the saying goes when in doubt Don't That why I never used it.
Like I said I got my education here on this Form and still learning about saws
Al
The model 200 is a McCulloch made 1963 The longest bar for it in illustrated parts list is 18". My other 200 parts is 1964 which has the 250 model saw.Mac made a change between 1963 and 1964 in manual
My 3120xp came with a 36" bar 404 pitch 063 104 DL. There is no one where I lived that has a 5ft bar. I could not rent one. Had an old oak that the 36"would not cut in to by cutting on both sides. So i bought the 5ft bar I silced that oak up with no problem. At the time I did not know the chain was a full skip. When I replaced the chain the dealer did not tell me I should use a skip chain. He smiled an said that saw could run a 6ft bar.As you know the saying there is one born every day(dumb) the deler knew it.
I will say it again I got my education about saw on this form AlL of you have been a brother in friendship and help to me.
Al after seeing your picture YOU are a better man with that 60" bar than I am
Well ,Jack,I have not had many dealings with local dealers, for years .Except for the 3 Stihls I own,all the rest are old,and nobody carries the parts. It's a learning process ,I guess.I usually buy through Baileys and other suppliers, and can get the stuff,at about 1/2 price as the local guy, with about 2 day delivery.
I prefer same deay delivery, like a dealer that has the parts on hand, but I cant always get that with old saws, especially the McCullochs. A Stihl is much easier since the dealer is only about 20 miles and I can get there on bike in about 2 hours on a weekend. great excercise.
I've had a ton of people reply to me having some bars, so I felt like I should post the pics on here as opposed to sending a bunch of pics to a bunch of different people.
info before you open the pics
10 is a pic of the mounting holes. Both the 28 and 32inch bars have the same mounts. The 28 is .050 and the 32 is .063 and are 3/8 and .404 respectively.
12 is a pic of what the bars look like as a full view.
14 is a pic of the sprocket tip on the 32"
They are for the Macs that used the small mount.
I have (5) 3/8 bars and (2) .404 bars. Let the bidding begin!
