I was wondering if anyone had one of those tools they would be willing to part with. THe local dealer said he had never heard of it. I tryed the other one but they were alreayd closed. Thanks for the help.

I ground the first .100 off a 3" drywall screw and it worked like a charm. An
E-Z out bolt extractor will work also. I know you would like to have the correct tool but not every Stihl dealer has them.

My dealer first acted like this was a tool for Stihl techs only, but then said that he was " sold out" and did not know when he would get more in.

Good luck.

Just tell your dealer you want to order part number 5910 890 4500. That's the pullers number, should only be about 7-10 bucks.

Ya beat me to it Tom.

After that Dan, tell your dealer he's a moron for not knowing what this tool is. I payed $5 for mine, and my dealer had a drawer full of them

I went to the dealer where I got my ms 361 from and he ordered me the two different ones that the different companies make. I got them for "contractor Price" which was $3.03 a piece. I just got both in case I have bad luck with that crap.

The 361 is a pain to get the caps off - the withdraw positon is NOT at the ends, so you have to rotate it back t the slot once you've screwed the tool in. Stihl just released a new cap (same part number) to make it easier... and slightly modifed (widened) the slots in the carb.
