I have a Craftsman 3.7 61cc pro saw from the 80's. I'm trying to get some help from someone who has experience with muffler mods (this saw in particular or otherwise) so I do something that will for sure give me a boost cutting. I've already taken the spark arrestor out. I've read to drill holes in the front cover. I've read to grind slits in the side. Just hoping to get some tips and maybe some pictures to help me out. Thanks.

That's what I wound up doing I didn't scroll down far enough to see the chainsaw forum before, when I posted it there I got some pictures of a mod to the same muffler I have. I opened up the holes in the cage in the middle and made a gill slit on one side. I turned both H and L up just a hair and it's cutting good. I'm not very knowledgeable about carb adjustment though. Any advice on that?
