Hey guys i have a upcoming trade show in a few weeks, i want to set up a climber on a log about 10-15 high in a saddle spurs and ppe, ive seen it done before im hoping to somebody has done this before, remember this is in a convention center and there will be 1000's of people walking by so I cant have something that is gonna tip over and kill somebody. Any ideas?

Get a Sheet of 1/2" steel and weld a 1-2' tall piece of pipe in the middle and slide the pole into it. Can drill a few holes in the pipe and sink some lag bolts into the pole if you were worried about it. Only problem is a 4'x8' sheet of 1/2" steel weighs 640lbs!! Might get away with 3/8" or maby a half sheet of 1/2" . You could weld up some kind of frame out of tubing and still have the pipe in the middle for the pole but if you are worried about people tripping over it, sheet steel is the way to go. I assume you wont be able to drill into the concrete and use wedge anchors?! If so you could get away with a smaller piece of plate anchored on each corner then zip cut the anchors off flush when your done. Good luck!
