I'll see what work comes in next year and then make my mind up if i could seriously put to work a GRCS...

That sounds like some rough work. I hope it wasn't windy too. Glad it doesn't get that cold down here.

Not bad, I work that clump a day a year in Dec with partial removals. They tell me what they can afford and I plan accordingly. The layout allows me to work how I need too.

They did not have as much as usual this year, so I only had one Guy to help. Blew some more tops out at 60 ft and then worked on some of lasts years big wood to make room for next year.

if i could justify the cost id get one in a jiffy. unfortunately i rarely have to even get a bull rope out.....even rarer do i get out my portawrap.
think ive used my portawrap maybe 5 times this year

I bought a GRCS at the TCIA trade show. I have to tell anyone who is on the fence about this system, don't even look at it unless you have the money to buy it. Once you see it in action you won't be able to live without it. I had been using a port-a wrap and fiddle block system for over a year and felt I could do some pretty interesting removals. But the GRCS, WOW!! We just did a 4 day project in an older trailer park removing limbs off of old Silver Maples that were all over trailers. I couldn't imagine having done that job in the time we did without it. Greg put a lot of time and thought into this, and it is obvious once you use it. The only questions I have are what "name" have you come up with for yours and have you figured out any tricks while using yours. I'm number 488 and more than happy to be in the GRCS club. Pete
grcs is an outstanding tool i was on the fence for like 9 years because of the price. once you use it own it you will wonder it wasnt your first investment in rigging if i could do it againg i would buy that first and build my riggging systems around that. exceelent! serious question anybody besides ggood have or used the drill attachment drills are standard tanaka and echos with forward and reverse used for cabling i heard good things about incorporated the drill any suggestions would be greatly appeciated and hopefully some feild notes gotta go do a zero clearance removal with my grcs

get a heavy duty electric drill I've found my gas stihl doesn't have enough torque to do what i need.

I'll second that, get a good corded high torque drill. Most of the time you will be near enough to an outlet for it to work.
