Hi

Got a pair of Husky chainsaw gloves and they are filthy. Whats the best way to wash them. The washing sticker has come off and i borrowed them and i don't really want to give them back covered in dirt.

Thanks

Andy

Stick them in the washing machine, normal dark load, problem is if you wash/dry time and time again they just fall apart.

Wash then leave to dry on the rad.

Hell, they normally fall apart before the get to the washer-woman. When are they gonna make durable chainsaw gloves. Oh yeah if they did that they wouldn't sell so many.

Thanks. Wondered if they were like harnesses and had to be washed with warm soapy water by hand and left to dry naturally.

Suck em under the cold tap and let the dirt run out. Did it again scrubed them a little suck em on spin dry and shoved them on the radiator.

chainsaw gloves

i once wore some of them for about a week, funnily enough it was on my cutting course. under what circumstance will the chain ever hit your left hand, everyone who i have spoken to that has snapped a chain has never had a slap on the hand.

anyone???

I did once have an idiot contracts manager insist i bring my CHAIN MAIL gloves and TROUSERS with me to a job or he wouldn't let on the site

chain mail, heavy but it might not trap the heat as well as chainsaw trews.

if i need gloves i'd prefer to pick up a set of 90p leather riggers than waste a £30 pair of cloves.....i will admit that chainsaw gloves are nice and soft inside

They are nice and comfy to ware. As for protection there useless, nearly all class 0 anyway. Protections in the wrong place and won't do much anyway.

Nice pair of SIP Anti vibration gloves are quite nice to wear when using one as well.

Sorry lost the plot here, what are you holding while wearing SIP A/V gloves? Or does urine splash clean them? :)

AV gloves

i have some impacto anti vib gloves, they are cotton with the av gel stuff in the palm, not strong but i wear gloves over them, i only really wear them when i am ringing up a stem or any sw work that isnt hard on the hands.
