This week we've worked a total of four hours. First it's been rain and today it's dumping the snow on us. Tomarrow is Friday not looking good. Saturday is looking wonderful!!:p We might be working, but I know I will. Man this is horriable. Guess you win some and lose some. Anyone else been hit hard this week?

I haven't been working much lately, but! snow on Monday, rain on Wednesday, I don't remember what Tuesday was like, today is alright.

Raining here in GA too, all week. We worked Monday and that's been it this week. I think I've read every post (in every forum) in ArboristSite history this week. I always learn something new sitting home on these rainy days. Yesterday I learned three new advanced friction hitches and even some knots that I'll probably never even use. Hang in there Froggy, I hear next week is going to be nice here in the Southeast.

I have not been in a tree in a week. :( Goining into withdraw.

It has rained everyday this week and there is enough water standing to make working in yards a major problem. I recieved a call last night from a tree service and the guy said maybe Friday I could do some trimming and possibly some on Sat. I don't like working on the weekends but after almost a week of no work I am very thankful.

I can not complain here; the week started off the pits but today was 60F and even warmer tomorrow. I was supposed to start Monday for the new boss, but he phoned me up and asked if i could go in today. I really had a wonderful day, good guys, excellent equipment, and can not describe it, just felt like someone appreciated I have a (very) little experience in this area of work. Anyways ended up getting to climb into a couple of good size crabapples to prune them, so it was exercise as well, bearing in mind I am not a climber. So my moderately old bones got a workout without major pain, all that hockey this winter five times plus a week must have served a useful purpose; I do not know many almost 44 year olds still carrying on like they are 22 again, but I guess you are as old as you act. Anyways I am just very grateful to be operational again after all the crap I went through last fall. Not sure what the plan is for tomorrow yet, but if I do not get a call, non problem as I will be on the ice for an hour and a half at 1400 hrs. 10 hours today, and would have been more but one client we could not get a hold of for final oky-doky. Summing up-:) .

When I posted before I was uncertain if I had heard rain for tomorow, but sure enough it was confirmed for me this afternoon. So from what I understand, rain here on Friday and Saturday.

Froggy, Im here in NC to, we havent got the snow but we have gotten about 6 inches of rain since monday. Still working everyday trying to keep some of the customers happy. I hate working in the rain but lately we havent had a choice. Look forward to the sun on sat.:D Mabey next week the ground will dry so we dont have to carry the brush as far:p . Last year too dry, so far this year to wet for figure:rolleyes: .

For the past week, it has been the same. Sunny with Lows in the high 30's, low 40's with high temps around 75:p

It didn't rain the weeks I was in Germany and hasn't rained here since I returned. Can't remember the last time I saw rain:confused:

Last year, it poured here for 12 days in a row. Gets suicidal. Just put the gun back in the drawer - the sun will return.

rain

Woke up to pouring rain this morning. I get to spend today in the shop cleaning my saws up and checking the ropes. Don't you just love a day with your saws? Quality time with my saws till the rain stops. I ought to fix that broken light on the truck today too. Maybe there will be time to do some splices if I get off this puter. Bye.

Here in SE Michigan, particularly northern Oakland County, not bad now, but we had a helluva ice storm last friday. Some folks still without power a week later. I talked to a local arborist yesterday, he said this is the most storm damage tree work they have seen in 30 years.
