steve,
I have some advise and a little understanding.
You are in a good position in that you are unmarried and don't have kids. What I mean by this is take your time and find the person that is right. Granted we don't know what transpired and its not our business but take this blanket advise. Once you get married and have kids it is tough to turn away, right now be yourself be fair but also be selfish at times, you are your own person, you have rights. It is one thing to compromise but it is another to be untrue to yourself. The compromise is easy to commit to but unless an equal compromise is repaid you will end up resenting the other person and all hell will break loose.

I understand the impact that a lack of sleep can have on people first hand. I make a better than average living but pay the price of having a irregular work schedule and a high stress occupation.

What did I do this weekend. I had to work a couple of 11-7's I had a mid term due, I swing over to my mothers and wired her sunroom for her, went to a birthday party, cleaned out the chimney, threw a little wood in the basement, skun the carrot and found a little time to tinker on some saws. I also found a new home for the ms200t on the bay.

Unfortunately the list of stuff left to do is much longer:jawdrop: :givebeer:

thanks for the advise Buck.

I have been down similar roads before and I know that I walked away. Part of the reason I am single without kids. lol

I would like to see this one end up better than the rest, but if not, it wasn't meant to be. She is an honest girl, one that I can see myself married to with children down the road, if I can get my head out of my ass....

all I will say is that I haven't been myself around her the last 6 months or so. She feels leftout and not cared for as much as she should have been. Like I said, I don't blame her one bit. I have somewhat ignored here lately with the busy work schedule and other things that were "more important" at the time.

Thanks again for the advise, I always try to keep and open mind, and I am done with this on a public forum.

-Steve

Welcome back Freak, good to hear from you again. I know the position you are in. It might be right girl, wrong time. I was about your age when I was finally ready to settle down and start a family. I passed on a good girl when I was younger, she was ready, but I was not. I told her she could stick around and see what happens, but no gaurantee, she left and was married within a year. The one I ended up with is even better. She puts up with me, which aint easy!

My weekend was not very productive. Had two sick kids. I did manage to cut for a couple of hours. It was enough to sell me on the 5100, I also got pics of one of my 346's that will be listed on Ebay tomorrow. I also got a winch mounted on my new bumper.

This weekend.

This weekend I,

Moved my furniture and other household goods into temporary storage. Getting everything ready for closing this Tuesday. We sold our house. :hmm3grin2orange:

Replaced the toilet mounting ring, bolts and wax seal on one of the toilets in my house. Great fun, really.;) My 4 year old son wanted to know, while the toilet was removed, if it was o.k. to just pee in the hole in the floor.

Called every trailer dealer around, looking for the best price on a 6x12 tandem axle enclosed trailer.

Watched the Giants attempt a comeback against the Seahawks.:bang:

Learned that my kids think Stihl chainsaws look cooler than Husqvarna's......I have both catalogs on my desk, I was informed that "orange and white looks stronger."

Take care,
Mitch

Got to use my big toys - 066 mill, TS400 cut=off saw, roto-hammers, more..

Busted a big hole in the side of the barn, resawed Doug fir beam in to a header (6x16 x10' to 3.5x13.5 x10') with my AK mill, jacked it into postion, final supports, took of the temporysupports (many) and it didn't move at all! Cut out the old old foundation and busted up the concrete - still had time for beer.

Hmmm...

Saturday. Made my second trip out to the wood patch to lay down the last tree of the season. Tried a week ago but arrived only to find a strong breeze blowing against the required fall. As it had only a slight lean and had to go that way I didn't need the resistance.

Managed to lay it down almost exactly where I wanted it which was sheer luck, not skill. Guestimate about 32" dbh by around 70'. Only measure I got was 24" about 50 ft from teh butt (tape disappeared in the brush pile) The sucker was rotten on the base although the outside looked good. The notch cuts showed almost no good wood so I was prepared when I started the back cut. Just got into that a little way before she went, way before I was ready. Looked like an explosion coming down as it slotted between two other big trees about 40 ft away and did a good job of cleaning the sides of them. Landed smack on top of my newest burn pilel - would have prefered it alongside but... Only problem was cutting rounds while standing on top of the smashed down pile. At least the top is all good solid wood.

Sunday was preparation time for a fun project - dig out the septic tank.
Moved the last of a pile of Ash into the shed to use for banking fires this winter. Emptied PU of wood from yesterday. Mowed lawn. Looked for the tarps to put the dug out dirt on. I learned years ago when doing excavations that if it is feasible, put the spill on tarps and keep the sods separate from the loose dirt. It cuts the work of back filling in half. Anyhow, I only found two tarps and finally drecalled that the last time I dug out the spetic, the tarps were getting pretty ratty and I burned most of them. Will be off to town this morning to get some replacements.

Gas coming down. Filled this yesterday at $2.92 (down from $3.23 2 weeks ago).

Worked saturday, worked on some stuff when I got home.

Sunday I put the lid on the temporary shelter we erected to keep the Hickory nuts from bombing the cars. Then helped the lil woman work on some slats for an antique bench she is rehabbing.

Then it was off to the garage where I finally got the new (to me) 6 shoe clutch right on My 925(2nd try) Then I tore down the brush hog on my gravely to fix a bent shaft that I origonally thought was just a leaky shaft seal.

Then I put the eagles game on the radio and tore into the exhaust on the tractor. The exhaust was installed by the previous owner and was pointing at the ground. Not a big problem until it back fires(front fires?) and throws 1.5' flames out of the pipe. I figure If I turned it twords the sky there would be less chance of setting the yard/woods on fire this fall if/when it fired off at the wrong time.

Now it just shoots a ball of fire in front of my face and deafens me when it does its lil trick. Next up is a rain cap and a stack to get the exhaust up over my head.

Then Ill fix the carb to keep it from doing this at all.:D

Oh yeah, the Eagles won.

I finished my 5-year project of remodeling my garage. I put in a 75,000 wood furnace for a 20X26 garage. Slight overkill, but it was a free furnace. Now I have an even better reason to get more saws since I need more wood!

Finished re-installing the fuel systems on my 621's, tore into a Stihl 025 with bad coil and recoil, and began on the 521 that I got from Scott before the summer began. I want to get out in the woods so bad I can taste it, but I can't for two more weeks. Too many people I know are getting married and messing up my weekends.

It was a good weekend, helped my brother install a new wood boiler to heat his home, garage, and hot water. We had to bury the water lines about 4 ft down in pure clay. The trench was already dug by a small excavator, so we just had to back fill with sand after cutting and laying in the plumbing. The new unit is a woodmaster 5000SS. Very nice unit. All thats left is some final hook up / plumbing.

Well, Saturday I picked up my new MS361. Thanks to all the good reports I have read on here. I am just a fire wood cutter, but I wanted a saw that would last and compliment my current 42cc Poulan Pro (which unlike many, I have no complaints about, after 6 years of ownership).
Since it was raining, I didn't get to use the saw, so I helped my neighbor pull siding off his house (he is getting ready for a big remodel)

Sunday I hoped to get to try out the new saw, but this stupid cold and the crappy weather kept me in the house.
Now, if my daughter isn't born by next weekend, I may get to put it in some wood. Though, given the choice, I hope my daughter is here by then! Due date is the 30th.

Oh, BTW, hello, as this is my first post on here

Well, after a question on this forum a month or so back, I finally got some Simple Green and started in cleaning up my 036 Pro...tho' I blow it off with comp. air each time I've never really cleaned it. While doing that, my neighbor stopped by on the way to his weekend cottage up the road, he's 84 yr. old and had a brand new Sears saw [Poulan?] and I didn't comment when he told me he was after this 20" spruce next to his driveway. Had his son in law with him [nice enough fellow but clueless as to woods and mntns and saws it seemed] and I heard that new saw start and run a few minutes several times. Told my wife I was holding myself back from sticking my nose into the deal as that tree shoulda had that saw runnning for a while. This a.m. I hiked past his place with my dogs [he had gone back home to Denver by then, didn't stay the night] and saw that ol' tree leaning into a couple of blue spruce with the butt off the stump about four feet away. It was clear they'd hung it up and tried to dig a hole beneath the butt, I guess to try to get it to fall but don't quote me as I can't imagine it and no, I'm not lying here. They'd brought over a big pole and I suppose tried to lever it around or something because that pole and a bunch of varied scrap boards, etc. were lying around the scene of the crime. So I went home and returned with my saw and cut it down into five foot lengths and called him and told him. His wife was thrilled but he said he was planning to come up with a 4 wd truck and a forty foot chain and drag that dang tree down and he asked me how long I spent messin' with it and danged if I didn't tell him about fifteen minutes including some thinkin' time to make sure I didn't kill myself. My wife said, well, guess you stuck your nose in it anyhow, huh. Came back home and got back into cleaning the saw and it now looks really, really nice. I left the guy the five foot lengths so he can have fun with his new saw and probably not cut off his leg.

Way to go Steve. Now he has nothin' fun to do.:hmm3grin2orange:

Oh yeah, All I did was buy me a new BG55 leaf blower. I do not know how to use it yet. I just blow the ???? all over the place!

and then rake it up with a regular rake.

This weekend I bucked up some more firewood and then tried out the 12.99 HF "lumber maker" I purchased along with the HF chain grinder. I have several hemlock and pine logs waiting for me to give my Alaskan a try. I clamped the rig to my ProMac 10-10 and made a 4x4 post out of a 6" hemlock. It was a miserable experience considering the less than stellar low-kickback chain on my Mac. I persevered though and made a pretty decent post being my first official attempt at milling with a chainsaw. One thing I did conclude though, my neighbors are going to be less than happy with me once I get the Jonsered 920 I got on the bay in my hands and strapped to the Alaskan. Nonetheless, i will be grinning ear to ear. :greenchainsaw: :biggrinbounce2:

daemon2525,
I used to be into computers but not so much anymore. Overclocking the older AMD K6-3+ and Pentium III chips used to be fun but like any hobby it can get out of control. I have tons of "crap" that I need to get rid of as fars as computers go. I sense that I am on the same path though with chainsaws. I already have 3 resurrected Homelites and one Homelite XL that needs crank seals, a Jonsered carcus, a ProMac 10-10, a new Husqvarna 455 (I know, I know......), and a Jonsered 920 on the way. I have purchased a chain grinder, a clamp on lumber maker, and a Granberg Alaskan MKIII. My garage is chuck full of the residues of hobbies from days gone by and needs a thorough blowing out just to move around. I need to start selling on the bay and stop buying!!!! :buttkick:

AMD, yeah I thought as much. I must be older. I was overclocking the 66mhz pentuims. I use to be a moderator at discussions.hardwarecentral.com.

daemon is UNIX thing,,

LOL!!!

I did nothing but fish. I hiked into a remote lake(one of the most beautiful places I have seen). Floated the Kenai. Caught a few nice rainbows and dollys.
Next weekend is a work weekend, snow is starting to come down the mountains. I need to harvest wood for a few winter projects.

daemon,
I used to frequent hardware central. I just lurked around reading discussions to find the tidbits I needed to get things smokin'. My first PC was a ATT PC2000 with 64kb ram!!! The Poulan "wildthing" of PC's!

Was it green and purple? :D

I'm using an iBook G3 800. It's the 031AV of Mac laptops. :D Not a big Windows fan, but know my way around the OS pretty well. I'm more of a Linux/mac person.
