Maybe I found an odd 031. I remember burning shavings off of many old saws, because I am a pyromaniac. The 029s just don't burn the same. I miss the old days,

We weld saws here with the wire feed; argon, aluminum wire. It blends in with the mag alloy. The only real problem we find is that the allow is like a sponge and getting oil out is a nightmare and we have to use nitric acid to clean it with first. Sometimes this won't even work on some of the crank cases.
I have some busted Echo magnesium parts, i will try a couple of different welding ways. I have an alum spoolgun and some of that fancy Alum torch rod. Will post some pics...Bob
